What this site collects, why, and how to opt out. Last updated 28 October 2026.

Who runs this site

This is the personal site of Dom Fretz, in Sydney, Australia. If you have a question about your information, email gday@harbouredge.ai.

What is collected

Google Analytics 4. It counts visits and shows which pages people read, roughly where they are and what device they use. It sets cookies in your browser. Google Analytics 4 doesn't store your IP address.

Microsoft Clarity. It records how people move through the page (clicks, scrolling and short session replays) and turns that into heatmaps. It sets cookies too. The newsletter form is masked, so what you type there isn't recorded.

The newsletter form. If you subscribe, your email address and your name (if you give one) go to the newsletter service at newsletters.rockyshoreslabs.io. You get an email asking you to confirm, and you won't get anything else until you confirm. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.

Hosting. Cloudflare runs the site. To serve and protect it, Cloudflare handles each request, including your IP address, and keeps short-lived logs.

Admin sign-in. Only Dom signs in, through Clerk. Visitors never load it.

There are no ads and no advertising trackers.

Where it's stored

Google, Microsoft, Cloudflare and the newsletter service may store this information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States.

Why

To see what people find useful, to fix what doesn't work, and to send the newsletter to people who asked for it. Your information isn't sold or shared for anyone else's marketing.

Opting out

  • Block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.

  • Install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

  • Use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.

Access and deletion

Email gday@harbouredge.ai to ask what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Dom will get back to you.
