I'm a software engineer who teaches other engineers how to use AI coding tools properly.
The Short Version
I've spent 20+ years building production software — from Switzerland to the US to Australia. Now I help engineering teams adopt AI coding tools without creating tomorrow's legacy nightmare. I run workshops, speak at events, build open-source AI tools, and organise the Claude Code community in Australia. I'm one of 60 Anthropic Claude Community Ambassadors worldwide.
The Longer Version
I started my career in Switzerland, writing code for systems that couldn't afford to break. Financial platforms, logistics systems, enterprise software — the kind of work where "it works on my machine" isn't a joke, it's a firing offence.
I moved to the US, then to Australia, working across startups, scale-ups, and enterprises. The common thread was always the same: production software is hard, and the difference between a prototype and a production system is about ten times more work than people expect.
When AI coding tools arrived, I saw the same pattern I'd seen with every new technology: incredible demos, terrible production code. Engineers were using AI to generate code faster — but the code was harder to maintain, harder to review, and harder to debug. "Vibe coding" was creating a new generation of legacy systems.
I developed the agentic engineering methodology — Spec → Phases → Plan → Implement — to bring engineering discipline to AI-assisted development. It's not about slowing down. It's about channelling the speed of AI tools through the rigour that production software demands.
